摘要：Bricks are one of the essential building materials. In India, fired clay bricks are produced inconventional, unorganized small scale industries. Indian brick industry, the second largest brick producer in the world,is next to that of China. Brick kilns, is an unorganized sector, where the workers are recruited temporarily on a seasonalbasis for the entire season of brick making. The workers have no experience and they are not provided with anytraining. This stressful situation can be made worse by physical discomforts in the workplace and causes occupationalhazards. This particular study was conducted in Hisar city of Haryana state to find out the musculoskeletal discomfortsand perceived exertion felt by the manual brick kiln workers.
