摘要:The Electrode discharge machining process was carried out on EN8 grade tool steel and its performancecharacteristics has been studied for optimizing the machining parameters of EDM process. The experiments werecarried out for different machining parameters such as pulse on time, pulse off time, gap voltage and peak current usingTaguchi’s L9 orthogonal array. The machining characteristics consisting of surface roughness, material removal rate(MRR) and electrode wear ratio (EWR) has been studied for optimizing the machining parameters.
