摘要:The lateritic soil used in this study was identified as A-7-6 (8) group soil in accordance with AASHTOclassification system. The soil was stabilized admixing rice husk ash (RHA) and lime in different quantities. Themixing quantities of RHA were 0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 percentages and lime were 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 percentagesof the weight of lateritic soil. Atterberg limits, standard Proctor compaction, unconfined compression and Californiabearing ratio (CBR) tests were conducted on lateritic soil with various percentages of these two stabilizers in order toexamine their influences. This study presents the potentials of RHA compared to lime in lateritic soil stabilization.Based on the test results, the required percentages of RHA and lime were determined for economical stabilization oflateritic soil and this study recommends 4% lime and 17% RHA for sub-base materials in highway construction.
