摘要：In this paper we present a deep survey and comparative analysis on different available approaches forthe content based video lectures retrieval. The extensive growth of Internet has provided availability of e-learningcontent and lecture videos which have brought forth an imperative need for developing effective content basedretrieval system to speed up the process. The key factors for developing video retrieval system are Comprehensivemetadata extraction and support for topic level search within videos. In this paper, we study different lecture videosegmentation techniques. As there is firm needs for segmenting lecture videos into topic units in order to organizevideos for browsing and to provide search capability. Universal metadata extraction & support for topic levelsearch within videos are key factors in formulating such systems.
