摘要:Bilateral Filter has amassed a great cognizance level in medical imaging, computer vision and graphics.Bilateral Filter is a non linear approach which takes into account not only the spatial distance between the pixels butalso the differences termed as color intensity, range differences and for that reason it has been accounted as better atpreserving the edges as well as textures in comparison to that of the conventional algorithms. Its capability todisintegrate an image into different scales without leading to any haloes has made it pervasive in computationalphotography applications such as tone mapping, style exchange and denoising. Digital images play a vital role inextensive variety of practices, for instance, Medical Imagery such as Ultrasound images, X-ray images and MRIImages. Images captured imbibe noise very easily from several sources and therefore the vital portion of Digital ImageProcessing involves restoration of images. It is a particular way of noise removal. Image denoising is an indispensablemove which involves the modification of the image data to produce a visually high quality image. This paper presentsthe work analogous to the Bilateral Filter and certain variants to the Bilateral Filter.
