摘要:According to the miracles, ascribed to Saint Nicholas of Bari (Puglia) (bishop of Myra, which is his natal city), three poor maidens at the marriage age were gifted by him with three gold coins (which in the iconography were then transformed into three gold spheres). These three girls, according to the legend, followed Saint Nicholas in his deeds and took part in his Worship, which was contaminated and altered many times during the centuries, after having been composed by Reginold of Eichstätt. One of the liturgical Worships was quoted in a codex of Brescia of XI century – the Gradual-Breviary Oxford, Bodl. Library, Canon. Lit. 366 (from cc. 254r-257r) – and later the rite regarded this Saint Nicholas entered to a feminine abby, created in 759 by Desiderio – the last Lombard king and his wife Ansa, in the Saint Salvator / Saint Julia of Brescia royal monastery. Afterwards, as it is registered then in the Ordinarium of 1438th, here was built a chapel dedicated to Saint bishop of Myra.
