摘要：This paper deals with the mega sports events , specifically on the influence exercised on the agenda and sports policies. Therefore, a literature review of mega sports events and sport policy was carried out and documentary research , qualitative approach and exploratory nature. It was noticed that the mega sports events are associated more with market issues ( re) structuring of new markets , cities and economic niches and less sport democratization issues. What caused changes in planning, institutional and legal arrangements and in sport funding in Brazil.
