摘要：In the light of the changes that have taken place in the Canary Islands over the last half century, which have affected agricultural structures in a substantial way, it is the object of this paper to make an updated proposal for a classification of the agricultural landscape of the Canary Islands. Starting from a historiographical revision, the proposals made to date, referring to the classification of the agrarian island landscapes, are analyzed. A critical analysis of these classifications is made, questioning their validity regarding the current conditions and situation and, finally, an update based on seven categories is proposed: landscapes of the abandonment, landscapes of the country tourism, landscapes of the new crops, landscapes of growing and recent urbanization in rural areas, landscapes of export crops, landscapes of soils covered with organogenic sands, pumitas and lapillis and, finally, landscapes of historical crops.
