摘要:This article is a proposal of SMED implementation of lean manufacturing in the process of change of molds in the m packaging of ice cream cones from a food company locatedin Santiago de Cali; Currently, the flexibility of processes is a key factor to improve the productivity of the process and also can become source of competitive advantage in the market. The methodology used consists in the identification of one of the more recurrent machines in the production of cones, through analysis of lost time and efficiency; identified once machine seeks to define what the most significant changeand thus discussed the findings obtained by the techniqueand presents the proposal to be considered in its implementation, which will form the basis for improving for the rest of the production line machines. There are applications of SMED in processes of change of mold in injection machines but unknown companies that have focused specifically on the production of cones therefore is an article that could subsequently serve as reference to other companies and SMED implementation could be done either identical or similar.
