摘要：The jewellery box Jewellery is not just jewellery; rather, it bears witness to the age in which it was created. In February 2017 Den Gamle By will open the permanent exhibition Smykkeskrinet – danske smykker fra det 20. århundrede (The Jewellery Box – Danish Jewellery of the Twentieth Century). The exhibition displays 510 pieces of jewellery from a collection the likes of which have not been seen anywhere else in the world. The collection provides a comprehensive picture of the national and international trends in the twentieth century that made Danish industrial arts world-famous. In the article Curator Jens Ingvordsen presents a handful of the pieces of jewellery and their special characteristics.
