摘要：El foco de este trabajo es el autoconcepto que poseen 86 docentes de dos universidades mexicanas. Para indagar sobre el tema se aplicó una escala de autopercepción, conformada por 7 categorías: competencia docente, autorrealización, percepción interpersonal, satisfacción, asunción de riesgos e iniciativas, aceptación de sí mismo y relación con los alumnos. También se utilizó una entrevista semiestructurada a 25 docentes, que de acuerdo a sus estudiantes, fueron significativos en su formación. De acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos los profesores consideran tener las habilidades necesarias para llevar a cabo su labor dentro de la docencia, aunque no realizados con esta tarea, se sienten aceptados y establecen buenas relaciones con sus compañeros de trabajo. Existen diferencias en cuanto a la satisfacción: sólo los profesores que promueven aprendizajes significativos se sienten satisfechos con su tarea docente, se arriesgan y son más autocríticos, mientras que el resto no lo está y tampoco asumen riesgos en su práctica. A los docentes de la muestra se les dificulta expresar la manera como se miran a sí mismos, reconocer sus cualidades sobre todo, y los defectos, no obstante consideran que la manera en la que se ven repercute en la manera en la que los educando se perciben así mismos y los ven.
其他摘要：The focus of this work is the self-concept of 86 teachers from two Mexican universities. In order to investigate the subject, a self-perception scale was applied, consisting of 7 categories: teacher competence, self-realization, interpersonal perception, satisfaction, risk taking and initiatives, self-acceptance and relationship with students. A semi-structured interview was also used for 25 teachers, who according to their students were significant in their training. According to the results obtained, teachers consider having the necessary skills to carry out their work within the teaching, although not performed with this task, they feel accepted and establish good relationships with their co-workers. There are differences in satisfaction: only teachers who promote meaningful learning are satisfied with their teaching task, they risk and are more self-critical, while the rest are not and do not take risks in their practice. Teachers in the sample find it difficult to express the way they look at themselves, recognize their qualities above all, and defects, nonetheless consider that the way in which they are seen has repercussions in the way in which the educating ones Perceive themselves and see them.
