摘要：No meio ambiente urbano encontram-se as principais preocupações sócio ambientais da atualidade, isto é, o ser humano acrescido de suas necessidades e interesses transforma o meio natural em meio artificial. Conseqüentemente o espaço urbano sofre metamorfoses jamais vista pelo homem em sua configuração territorial.O presente estudo visa analisar a dinâmica do uso das margens do Igarapé Tiririca, localizado no Bairro Mecejana - Boa Vista (RR), levando em consideração sua dinâmica sócio ambiental em relação aos agentes promotores do espaço urbano local. A área de abrangência da pesquisa inicia sob as coordenadas geográficas 02º 49' 33.9'' de Latitude Norte e 60º 41'25.3'' de Longitude Oeste e termina sob as coordenadas geográficas 02º49'08.0” de Latitude Norte e 60º41'25.3” de Longitude Oeste. A pesquisa servirá por certo como suporte técnico-científico em Programas de Preservação dos igarapés existentes no município de Boa Vista, em particular do Igarapé Tiririca.
