摘要：This paper is focused on several medical recipes from Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages in which the hellenism zona is attested as a term of pathology. This medical technicism has two different meanings: ‘herpes zoster’ and ‘alopecia’. This survey is also an attempt to explain why zona acquired in Latin a pathological meaning not attested for zwvnh, its correspondent in Greek.
