摘要：Erectile dysfunction is defined as insufficiency in initiating, achieving and maintaining of penile erection necessary for satisfactory sexual intercourse. Its prevalence increases as the age progresses, but it is underestimated in routine clinical practice. An attempt is made to review the literature showing erectile dysfunction as silent risk factor for cardiovascular disease (atherosclerosis).
