  • 摘要:The dossier Exploring the frontiers of Christian spirituality , between Mysticism and Mystiques, passion and compassion unites unit biblical, dogmatic, historical-pastoral approaches in a transdisciplinary perspective. It has been designed by Professor Dr. Paula Blanches (Area of Pastoral Theology) , doctoral candidate Marcelo Carneiro da Silva (Area of the Bible) and Dr. Helmut Renders (Area history and theology). We believe that the effort on the subject of spirituality, located in the field of religious e xperience or the praxis of faith, should be the subject of ongoing Protestant research. But this is not yet the case and dossier is an attempt to start a conversation and move forward in this discussion. As part of this, we introduce the distinction between mysticism and mystiques, the common in German research, but little used in Brazilian research or Anglo-Saxon research. We hope this helps to distinguish and that it offers the possibility of imagining Protestantism not predominantly on the base of its classical appreciation of reason, but along the lines of an engaged spirituality, as it appears in the life and work of people like Charles Monroe Sheldon and Washington Gladden, Walter Rauschenbusch and Martin Luther King, Jr., John Frederick Denison Maurice and William Temple, Martin Niemoeller and Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Elie Gounelle Wilfred Monod, Herman Kutter, Leonard and Clara Ragaz Ragaz-Nadig. The fact that these names probably say little or nothing to the vast majority of the Latin-American Protestants reveals the immensity of the task of discussing a model of Protestant spirituality. The pair "passion and compassion" is less a reference to two opposing concepts than to a number of consecutive readings of Christian spirituality, based on one of the two terms, sometimes with a tendency towards misticism, sometimes with more emphasis on interaction with the world. We mention here, among other aspects, the emphasis on emotion in the Jesuit project (to be emotionally moved to move) and in the Catholic reform in general. Besides this, some features of Pentecostal spirituality (we are celebrating this year the centenary of the Church Assembly of God) as well as the contributions of Gerhard von Rad (the God of Israel as a passionate God) and the project of Jürgen Moltmann of a committed spirituality engaged in public life. We understand that these readings are relevant to Brazil as a kind of foundation for the discussion of the existence of the Brazilian religious matrix or certain characteristics of the Brazilian religious imagery. We thank our partners and our interlocutors for sharing their research and hope that they serve in all its diversity as a fundation for a more transdisciplinary investigation of spirituality as an essential phenomenon of human life. We hope You enjoy the reading and we invite our readers and our readers to contact those responsible for this dossier and the authors of these studies to enrich their experience and also make known their research. Blanches de Paula (Pastoral) Marcelo Carneiro da Silva (Biblical) Helmut Renders (Theology and History)
