摘要:The purpose of this study is to analyze whether or not emotional capital of employees has an effect on job satisfaction. Thedata has been collected from 168 teachers working at public schools and 432 teachers working at private schools in Gaziantep. Withinthe scope of collecting data related to this research, “Emotional Capital Scale” and “Job Satisfaction Scale” was used. Emotional CapitalScale was developed by Newman and Purse (2007) with 77 items and was shortened into 30 items in 2015. Moreover, Job SatisfactionScale was developed by Brayfield and Rothe (1951), shortened by Yoon and Thye (2002), adjusted into Turkish by Kuşluvan andKuşluvan (2005), and the scale consists of 5 items. SPSS 23 and AMOS 23 packaged software was used in analysing the data. In dataanalysing process, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, correlation and reliability analyses were made with structural equationmodel. According to the results, relationship management factor and adaptability factor of emotional capital have effects on jobsatisfaction, while awareness factor, self-management factor and remaining distant factor of emotional capital do not have effects on jobsatisfaction.
