摘要：With 220 million users of smart phones, India is second largest smart phone users in the world. Indiangovernment has launched a Smartphone GIS data collection App setting the trend of crowd-sourcing Geospatial datafor societal use. Indian government want to take help of GIS for building SMART and AMRUT cities. Geographicinformation, of SMART and AMRUT cities, is dynamic and needs regular updation. ‘crowd-sourcing of Geospatialdata can be provided by using smart phones with well designed, Forms to a large extent ‘Open Data kit’(ODK),provides a dependable source for crowd sourcing (point) Geospatial data for societal use. ODK is a suite of tools thatallows data collection using smart devices. Planning for a city needs spatial data collection, for data a number ofsurveys need to be conducted .In this paper ODK is used as a tool to collect spatial point data and populating this dataon to WEB-GIS. The results obtained from WEB-GIS are presented for visualization.
