摘要：The development of Palangka RayaCity as the centre of growth in the province of Central Kalimantanhas an impact on increasing in number of residents thus increasing the amount of waste generated. Meanwhile, theproblems that arise are still the pattern of garbage disposal into rivers, irrigation channels, and the disposal and burningof garbage in the yard or on vacant land, limited human resources, insufficient infrastructure and financing, the limitedwaste that is transported to the landfill and Limited service coverage and final process in landfill still use open dumpingsystem. This shows an indication of waste management performance in Palangka Raya City and the factors thatinfluence it.This research methodology used qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach, with analysis technique using sequelanalysis. Sampling technique using apurposive sampling method that isthe technique of sampling data source withacertain consideration.This research was conducted to assess the garbage service by analysing the quality of waste service to the performanceof the work agency, spatial and residential office of Palangka Raya City. The result of the research shows that theperformance of solid waste service is related to various factors that influence the performance of waste managementsuch as the number of personnel and infrastructure facilities is still very limited, transportation operations are notoptimal yet, the lack of clear division of tasks, especially in the collection and transportation system, and the lack ofpublic awareness In support of waste management. The recommendation of this research is that the government needsto increase the reach of garbage service, personnel, equipment and to provide socialization about waste management tothe community. The results of this study is expected that to improve the optimization of waste managementperformance in the city of Palangka Raya need to improvethe performance of the work of copyrighted works, layoutand housing Palangka Raya more real and active role in helping to provide facilities and infrastructure waste.
