摘要：The 3D scanning system is increasingly used in various fields. The 3D scanner having the capability ofcapturing the real 3D objects in digitised form in the computer world. The generation of 3D model is required invarious applications like in manufacturing industry to reverse engineering the existing components, to inspect thequality of manufacturing component, animation industry to model the character from the real world. The 3D scanningresults in ease in the inspection process and hence decrease the manufacturing costs. The use of 3D scanning isenhanced by lowering the cost of 3D scanning device. In this paper the past studies done on the development of 3Dscanning system are studied and also the various scanning factors are studied which results in increase the quality of 3Dscanning system.
