摘要：A continuous growth in freight and passengers demand creates a pressure to increase the capacity ofRailway networks. Due to the limited infrastructure of Railwaysdemand can be fulfilled only by managing the capacityefficiently. So, researchers moved their focus on capacity expansion techniques. In this paper, the concept of capacityand maincapacity assessment techniques are assessed. This paper gives more attention tomodelling parameters andfindings and gives less attention to mathematical models and solution procedures.
