摘要:This paper reviews some of the current developments in the determination of stress/strain, Progressivefailure analysis and optimization of composite pressure vessel. The literature has indicated a growing interest in thefield of stress concentration analysis and progressive failure analysis in the pressure vessels. The motivation for thisresearch is to analyze the stress concentration, Stress and failures occurring at the openings of the pressure vessels andthe means to reduce the effect of the same. Most of the researchers have worked on the stress concentration,Progressive failures due to crack is shell and optimization of vessel openings under internal pressure. Optimizing acomposite pressure vessel demands an objective function. This function must represent the performance of thecomposite material, and in some cases may have some local minima. Optimizations methods use this objective functionto try to find the best solution. In this paper the recent developments, theories for estimation of stress, failures andoptimization are presented and the scope for future studies is also presented.
