摘要：Abiotic characteristics was analysed at different sites (S1, S2, and S3) on Bhakra-Yamuna Link canals fora period of one year (January-December, 2013). Site S1 lies on Sirsa branch of Western Yamuna Canal, siteS2 onBarwala link canal and site S3 on Sirsa branch after junction with Barwala link canal in Narwana region of Haryana.Relatively high values of width, water current, electrical conductivity, TDS, turbidity, BOD, total alkalinity, totalhardness, chlorides, nitrates, o-phosphates and ammonia were recorded at site S3 as compared to site S2 on linking withsite S1.
