摘要:The separate collection and the recycling of biogenic waste has a longtradition in Austria. In this paper the possible waste streams forfermentation are presented. The sustainable potential is countered bytechnical and economic limitations. Biogenic waste, which can containan increased proportion of obstructions and contaminates, can only beused to a limited extent. The use requires higher process engineeringapproaches, which are reflected in higher investment costs. In additionto biogas production costs, there are additional costs for biogas upgrading and for biomethane injection. The analysis shows a usable potential of around 140 million m³ of biomethane from biogenic waste and around 200 million m³ of biomethane from agricultural residues.
