摘要:Due to the enormous applications of wireless sensors, the research on wireless sensor networksremains active throughout the past two decades. Because of miniaturization of sensor nodes andtheir limited batteries, the energy efficiency and energy balancing are the demand in-need toextend the life time of sensor networks. This study proposes an energy-aware directional routingprotocol for stationary wireless sensor network. The routing algorithm is non-table driven,destination aware and packet forwarder nodes are selected on the basis of admissible heuristiclogical distance, and packet forwarding direction is also determined in very simplistic method.The algorithm is designed for 1-hop, 2-hop and ‘2-hop & 1-hop combine’ communicationmethod. The energy balancing mechanism of this paper is based on two state thresholds andsimulation result shows its superiority over the existing directional routing protocols of wirelesssensor networks.
