摘要：This case study aims to evaluate regional handicrafts as an income alternative in the city of Manaus having as a study area of the Tenreiro Aranha Handicraft Fair. A scientific methodology in an exploratory and descriptive research where structured questionnaires were used with open and closed questions. Two types of questions were used: one for artisans and others for fair consumers. From the results, it was verified that the craftsmanship brought the economic markets in the artisans, in spite of the seasonal variation of the sales considering periods of high and low season for trips. An alternative income found by merchants and also consists of a way of showing through their arts the regional culture, adding value to natural products, helping with tourism in the city and assisting in the conservation of local culture.
