摘要:This work aimed to characterize the activity of hunting of mammals in the New Baden State Park (PENB), Lambari, Southern Minas Gerais, and its surroundings. There were 14 interviews with hunters. The profile of the interviewees is of rural residents, reduced income, schooling, and aged between 30 and 40 years. Eight hunting techniques were recorded for each species: Deer (Mazama americana) , two techniques for Paca (Cuniculus paca), two techniques for Tadpole(Dasypus novemcinctus), Capivara (Hydrochoerus hidrochaeris), Quati (Nasua nasua), and Preá (Cavia aperea). The species hunted in the PENB differ little from the other protected areas, which endangers the survival of these species in the biome, being two endangered species (deer and paca). Hunting, along with habitat fragmentation, are anthropic changes that are endangering the ecosystem dynamics of many locations, causing impacts that are difficult to measure in protected areas.
