摘要：The objective of this study was to identify the adequacy of information contained in the labels of bottled water from Brazil and Mercosur countries (except Venezuela). To achieve this purpose, 90 products were selected, 78 from Brazil and 12 from Mercosur countries. Of the 12 samples analyzed from Mercosur countries, only 1 (8.3%) presented covering all items analyzed, while the Brazilian samples, none of them presented all of the items analyzed. The most common inadequacies for both legislations were: inappropriate use of expressions to indicate liquid content, the absence of indication of the lot, the lack of emphasis on the warning of the product does not contain gluten, the presence of figures/word that can lead consumers to an error, the use of expressions not authorized to display the expiration date and the name metrological nonstandard set by law.
