摘要:A wireless ad hoc network is a network composed of several mobile nodes. When a node needs tocommunicate with another node, they forward data through the intermediate node. Therefore, each node inthe network is an independent terminal device and can also be used as a router. Black hole attack is acommon attack in wireless ad hoc networks. Malicious nodes use the protocol mechanism to broadcast theirshortest paths to other nodes. This causes all data to flow to these malicious nodes. These malicious nodeslaunch denial of service attacks by discarding data, or redirect data to a destination node that is disguised.Based on AODV (Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing) protocol, a detection strategy for its blackhole attacks is proposed. Through NS-2 simulation experiment, we analyse three performance metrics inregard to ad-hoc network including packet delivery fraction, average end-to-end delay and routing overhead.Experimental result shows that the detection strategy can enhance the security of AODV routing protocol.
