摘要:The Procon Foundation-SP as a body linked to the Secretary of Justice and the Defense of Citizenship is responsible for maintaining safety and decency in some sporting events, such as street racing, soccer, among others. Considering the situations of insecurity, violence and vandalism that surround the sporting events currently in Brazil and in the large metropolises, mainly related to soccer, organized a collegiate constituted by interested parties with the intention to make easy this discomfort on the mentioned problems. Created by the Procon Foundation, the Technical Chamber of Sports. Considering Procon an important body for public management in the state of São Paulo, this study sought to analyze the organizational public management model and identify: How the organizational management model proposed by Mintzberg (1979) can contribute to the understanding a model of sports management ? Three sources of evidence were used to collect the data of this study: the analysis of artifacts, analysis of primary documents and participant observation for the accomplishment of qualitative research. As a result, a simple organizational structure was identified, corroborating the researched literature. It was concluded that there is an advantage in working with a simple organizational structure, due to the flexibility and ease of communication with the strategic summit and operational summit, streamlining the decisions and facilitating the processes without major interferences, making the sports organization dynamic and agile.
