摘要:This contribution suggests that there is a major divide between using innovative tools suchas GIS and geomedia in education, and using these tools to actively foster innovativeness. Ittakes two steps to argue that fostering innovativeness should be at the center of geomediause in education: Firstly, it examines concepts of innovation and innovativeness in regard topotential geomedia uses in school. Secondly, we analyse English language contributions tothe GI-Forum in regard to their use of the term innovation. We finally suggest that geomediause should be re-examined, and at least partially used to support innovativeness, basedon visual analytics approaches and storytelling.
