摘要：Current satellite-derived land cover products, which are very important for answering manycrucial research and policy-related questions, show huge disagreements. In this paper wepresent a serious game for the iPad with the purpose of improving global land cover data.We describe the game, discuss the design decisions made and outline the challenges facedwhile developing the game. We evaluate how well the players are able to annotate landcover by comparing the game against expert validations collected using the Geo-Wiki tooland provide evidence that games can be a useful way to increase the quality of global landcover.
