摘要:This report summarises Australian passive surveillancedata for adverse events following immunisation(AEFI) for 2015 reported to the TherapeuticGoods Administration and compares them tolong-term trends. There were 2,924 AEFI recordsfor vaccines administered in 2015; an annual AEFIreporting rate of 12.3 per 100,000 population. There was a decline of 7% in the overall AEFI reportingrate in 2015 compared with 2014. This declinein reported adverse events in 2015 compared tothe previous year was mainly attributable to fewerreports following the HPV vaccine and replacementof monovalent vaccines (Hib, MenCCV and varicella)with combination vaccines such as Hib–MenC, andMMRV. AEFI reporting rates for most individual vaccineswere lower in 2015 compared with 2014. Themost commonly reported reactions were injectionsite reaction (26%), pyrexia (17%), rash (16%), vomiting(8%) and headache (7%). The majority of AEFIreports (85%) were described as non-serious events. There were two deaths reported, but no clear causalrelationship with vaccination was found.
