摘要:I have been working for a long time in the area of SFL on the need to considerthe inclusion of linguistic variety in the teaching and learning of the language. In this paper,leaving aside theoretical discussions about the model of language in the classroom, I aimto inquire about how pronunciation is dealt with in the main reference works we have atpresent, that is, the Cervantes Insitute抯 Curriculum and the Nueva gram醫ica de la lengua espa駉la.Thus, I will analyze its content with two purposes in mind: 1) to address the treatmentgiven to phonetic variety; and 2) to contribute to the linguistic training of teachers, in orderto avoid the traditional imposition of Castilian in the classroom, and encourage the teachingof Spanish in its dialectal complexity.
