摘要:This paper presents the results of analyzing motives,preferences, and experiences in video game play. A sampleof 112 (64 male and 48 female) students completed onlinethe Gaming Attitudes, Motives, and Experiences Scales(GAMES). Separate one-way independent-measuresmultivariate analyses of variance (MANOVAs) were used todetermine if there were statistically significant differencesby gender, age category, hours of videogame play, andethnicity on the nine Factor Subscales of the GAMES. Theresults supported two of the proposed hypotheses. Therewere statistically differences by gender and hours ofvideogame play on some of the Factor Subscales of theGAMES.
