摘要：Based on a comparative study of the capital markets’ characteristics in developed and developingcountries of the European Union and the Republic of Moldova, conducted from the perspective of indicativeand functional approach, the present article highlights the main challenges to improve the local stock market and identifies the main directions of modernization, so as to ensure the fulfillment of its specific functions.
