摘要：Local history occupies a strategic position in developing moral values; this is possible because local history has the peculiarity of national history. Local history lies in the locus of a particular region or region that also belongs to a community. The peculiarity of local history has become the identity of the community and become a shared narrative in the collective memory of a particular locality. On the shared memory, local history taught much about the wisdom and lessons that are valuable to a society. As a local history, the Kerinci War (1901-1903) is still inherent in the collective recollections of the Kerinci community; in Jambi Province (Indonesia).The three-year war has provided many lessons for today's generations, especially with regard to moral values such as nationalism, social solidarity, responsibility, and discipline.
