摘要：IPFJRO is an image processing-based ontology develop specifically for an ontology-based keywords search system. Ontology ease the human computer communication by presenting the concept or information in a way that can be understand by both machine and human without any misunderstanding. At the same time, it allows the information reuse across different applications. However, despite its advantages, development of an ontology is still a lengthy and complicated process. Hence, not every domain has its own complete ontology developed and ready to use. In this study, we had developed a domain ontology. We had select Image Processing as the domain of our ontology. This ontology was based on the terminologies from research articles and image processing text book. The development of this ontology followed the guidelines in Ontology Development 101. We used Protege as the development tool. This study focused on the methodology, design and development of the ontology. Theres a total of 63 classes and 831 individuals in IPFJRO.
