标题:Predicting Teachers' Attitudes toward Classroom Management through Self- Efficacy and Collective Efficacy in Secondary Schools of Mahvelat, Iran in Academic Year 2012-13
摘要:This study is conducted with the aim of predicting teachers' attitudes toward class room management, through self - efficacy and collective efficacy of secondary schools of Mahvelat. This is a descriptive correlational study and its population includes 2 43 teachers of all Mahvelat secondary schools in the academic year 2002 - 03 using simple random sampling and Krejcie and Morgan Table in which 144 teachers were finally selected as samples. The data collection tools consisted of Thomas's teachers' attitudes toward classro om management questionnaire with 20 items, Tschannen - Moran, Woolfolk Hoy self - efficacy questionnaire with 24 items and Tschannen - Moran & Barr's collective efficacy questionnaire with 12 items. The reliability coefficient for each questionnaire was respec tively obtained 0.76, 0.92, and 0.95 using Cronbach's alpha formula. Result s of the analysis indicated that there is a significant positive relationship between self - efficacy and collective efficacy of teachers and their attitudes toward classroom management. Also it was found that there is a significant positive relationship bet ween self - efficacy and collective efficacy of the teachers, but self - efficacy and collective efficacy of teachers weren't able to predict their attitudes toward the classroom management.
