摘要：University students possess professional knowledge and hard skills, but they often lack of soft skills which are crucially needed at workplace. Soft skills are gaining more importance as employers are looking for more graduates who have good personal traits. However, some students are unaware of their importance thus, fail to equip themselves with the skills during university life. This research was conducted to investigate the perception of university students towards soft skills. A total of 20 students from the Faculty of Accountancy and 24 students from the Faculty of Sports Recreation of Universiti Teknologi MARA Perlis were given each a set of questionnaire that consists six general questions about soft skills. This paper will highlight the findings between the two groups and compare the results of the subjects‟ soft skills perceptions. It was found that students were aware of the importance of soft skills in career advancement. Hopefully, the findings of this study will give some pictures on how university students perceive soft skills.
