  • 摘要:This paper aimed to explore the New Preschool Teachers (NPT) teaching skills concerning preparation of lesson plans and their teaching strategies accordingly to what they planned in their lesson plans. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed in order to produce the appropriate theme of the NPT teaching skills. The finding showed that NPT teaching skills in preparing lesson plan can be categorized into three main criteria:i) time management, ii) selection of activities, and iii) planning based on the national curriculum provided. The result showed that the NPT had been using two main types of teaching approach which are thematic approach, and in conducting learning through play. In conclusion, the overall teaching skills of NPT in preparing lesson plan and implementing the lesson are of moderate standard.
