Middlebury College (Jerry McBride, Music Librarian) has received a first edition of the vocal score of Jean-Baptiste Lully's Alceste (Paris: Printed by Henri de Baussen, 1708, RISM A/I: L2935) from Richard Gardner. The volume is from the first complete edition of Lully's works published by his son after his father's death. It is one of twenty-five known copies. Other libraries in the United States that own this edition are Cornell University, New York Public Library, and the Library of Congress.
