摘要:The large variety of modern composite materials and products existingnowadays in the construction market provides multiple and convenient possibilities to usethem in both structural and nonstructural industrial construction elements. The mainadvantages of modern composite materials such as: corrosion resistance, high strength andmodulus values compared to their density, acceptable deformability, tailored design andexcellent formability enable the fabrication of new elements and the structuralrehabilitation of the existing parts made of traditional materials. The high potential of theapplicability of polymeric composites in new industrial construction correlated withfabrication procedures as well as the use of composites in modern strengthening solutionsare presented in the paper.
