摘要:Although the principles that are at the basis of Open and Distance Learning seem to solve problems linked to physical displacement and availability that make the presence in face-to-face classes, the scientific literature show a high rate of failure, as well as a phenomenon of abandonment and dissatisfaction. This study focuses on social perception of students taking part in distance learning training: the aim is to understand whether and how the feeling of isolation could influence the successful achievement of students. The results show that participants in this particular training don’t feel themselves “isolated”. Nevertheless we also try to understand what could be the main factors influencing collaborative learning and participants’ feeling. It appears that communication tools play an important role, including in the completion of the training
