摘要:This study employed the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to empirically investigate factorsthat influence Ghanaian pre-service teachers’ attitudes towards Information and CommunicationTechnology (ICT) usage. To achieve this aim, the study extended the TAM framework by addingleadership support and job relevance as exogenous variables. Data were randomly collected from380 pre-service teachers studying a 3-year Diploma in Education programme in Ghana. Based ona multiple stepwise regression analysis, the findings suggested the following: (1) leadership supportsignificantly influenced perceived ease of use; (2) job relevance significantly influenced perceivedusefulness; (3) perceived usefulness significantly influenced attitude towards use; (4) perceivedease of use significantly influenced attitude towards use (5) the TAM is significant for pre-serviceteacher education context except the relationship between perceived ease of use and perceivedusefulness. The study contributed to the literature by validating the TAM in the pre-service teachereducation context in Ghana. It also provided several implications for the research and practice ofICT adoption in the developing world context.
