摘要:Iraq has great resource potential that may not be available in other countries. It has a great potential of variousresources that date back to thousands of years. Iraq is one of the areas that have diversity in terms of naturalresources and industrial components. Due to these resources, in 1970, Iraq was among the best countries inproducing and exporting wheat and barley as well as in providing industrial goods. The empiricalresult shows that political and security instability had negative effects on the agriculture and industrial sectors aswell as on the economic growth. This study also found that both agriculture and industrial sectors had positivelyeffected on gross domestic product (GDP).
