摘要:Purpose: This research was conducted to identify and understand theantecedents of Students citizenship behaviours (SCB) within Pakistanihigher educational context. SCB regarded as a significant factor instudent academic success and future employment. However, literatureis silent about antecedents that influence SCB within Pakistani highereducational context.Methodology: This study utilized qualitative approach to investigateantecedents. Focused groups and semi-structured in-depth interviewswere conducted to understand the experiences of the researchparticipants.Findings: Data analysis reported the role of intrinsic and extrinsicrewards in SCB. This study further identified dark rewards responsiblefor SCB.Practical Implications: This study contributes in knowledge byidentifying various rewards responsible for SCB. Furthermore, thisstudy demonstrates how dark reward contribute to SCB. However, oneof the key limitation of this research is being a qualitative study it iscontext bound.
