摘要：The Financial services sector in Rwanda has undergonetransformation in the past years with several innovationdriven improvements. Commercial banks in Rwanda and therest of the world have continued to implore on senior managers andexecutives the need to improve project resource availability so as toensure project success in the Banking Industry. The main objective ofthe study was to find out the role of project resource availability on theproject success in Banking Industry in Rwanda. The study draws ontheoretical literature and empirical studies on project success in aneffort to explore the influence of engagement of senior managers andexecutives in management of project resource availability to ensureproject success in the Banking Industry. The development is intendedto inform further research and enable organizations to developpathways in relation to project success in the Banking Industry. Thestudy employed a descriptive survey design. The target population of132 was used composing of project manager and the project teamderived from the human resource, information technology, customercare, finance, credit departments as well as selected staff from 14branches. Primary data was collected using structured questionnaires.A sample size of 42 was used. The data was the analyzed usinginferential statistics in order to get the relationship between variables.The study established that improving resource availability havestatistically significant role on MIS project success in the BankingIndustry in Rwanda. The study recommends that senior projectmanagers should be in-serviced on the importance of their strategicrole in the management of project resources which would determinethe availability of resources and thus project success.
