摘要:he role of reactive planning typology in moderating therelationship between strategy implementation and employeeeffectiveness in universities has not been established. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the moderating effects ofreactive planning typology on the relationship between strategyimplementation and employee effectiveness in universities in Kenya.The objectives of the study were to establish the effect of strategyimplementation on employee effectiveness and to assess themoderating effect of reactive planning typology on the relationshipbetween strategy implementation and employee effectiveness inuniversities in Kenya. The study was guided by the Balanced ScorecardModel. The study employed explanatory research design. A structuredquestionnaire was used to collect data from 490 respondentsdistributed across 12 randomly selected private and publicuniversities. The study employed stratified random samplingprocedure to select responds of the study. Data was analyzed usingdescriptive and inferential statistics. Pearson’s product momentCorrelation was used to test the relationship between the variables ofthe study. Multiple regressions were used to test the hypotheses of thestudy variables. The study established that both leadership and culturewere significant predictors of employee effectiveness in universities inKenya. Leadership was found to positively enhance employeeeffectiveness. Organizational culture was found to have a negativeimpact on employee effective. The study established that reactiveplanning typology predicted employee effectiveness in universities inKenya. Reactive planning typology moderated the relationshipbetween strategy implementation and employee effectiveness. Thestudy concluded that reactive planning typology significantly andpositively moderated the relationship between organizationalleadership, organizational culture and employee effectiveness. Thestudy recommends that there is need for the university leadership toindentify appropriate planning typologies to enhance performance
