摘要:in this study we approach different experiences, ways of life, and ways to comprehend, explain, and address thephenomenon of migration from the reflections of children inthree communities in the municipalities of Salvatierra and Salamanca, located in the State of Guanajuato, Mexico. We study psychosocial, socio‐cultural, economic, family, and symbolic aspects, which arepresent in children’s perceptions of migration and its effects onchildhood. The above, especially in regions with a long tradition ofmigration (Mexico‐United States), such as the communities that thisstudy discusses. We discuss the skills and emotional resources (such asresilience, coping, and adaptation capacity) that develops duringchildhood in the face of long absences of migrant relatives, we alsodiscuss the negative perceptions negative impact that migration hasassumed. This study, based on the reflections of boys and girls inGuanajuato, Mexico, point out that in such a complex phenomenonthat is migration, there are different ways to understand and copewith this situation, even communities within the same state havepresented both similar and dissimilar characteristics, and meanwhile, force us to think about the cultural and social diversity of childhood. We cannot make generalizations, rather we must consider particularsocial, family, and community conditions and realities that correspondto the plurality and diversity of experiences of children in communitiesin the state of Guanajuato.
