摘要:While the benefits of effective strategic implementation ingovernment cannot be disputed, there are several concernsabout its success as well as the strategies to be adopted inimplementation of strategic plans in various levels of government. Themain objective of the study was to assess the influence ofcommunication on stakeholders’ strategy implementation in GarissaCounty, Kenya. This study was based on contingency theory,institutional theory, resource based view and competitive advantagetheory. This study applied a descriptive design. The target populationof this study was 403 employees in Garissa County Government. Thisstudy employed stratified sampling where each group in thepopulation was included in the sample. A sample of 201 respondentswas selected. This study utilized questionnaire as the data collectioninstrument. A pilot test was conducted where 10 respondents fromGarissa County Government were issued with the draft questionnaireand were asked to fill and give their recommendations on thecompleteness of the questionnaire. In questionnaire administration,drop and pick later method was applied. Both descriptive andinferential statistics were used for analysis. Descriptive statistics thatwere utilized included percentages mean scores and frequencydistributions. Inferential statistics that will be utilized includeregression and correlation analysis. Presentation of results for both thedescriptive and inferential statistics was through tables, pie-charts andgraphs. The findings indicated that communication to stakeholders didnot significantly influence strategy implementation and recommendedthat Garissa County government should plan for communication andpublic relations and have a budget for that.
